Tasting notes for Bowmore 17 year old

Distillery bottling
43% a.b.v.

Phenomenal and dignified. Creamy yet very firm. Viscous. Palate shows nuts, garden leaves, fresh charcoal, bitter orange peel, delicious damp ferns. Some frozen orange juice concentrate in the nose. The entire malt, not just the aroma, evokes associations with the smell of wet moss and ferns the morning after a long rain. The skill in the vatting and composition is amazing. Magnificent, delicious, and one of my favorites.
