Everybody think really hard about what malts go into this vatting. If spirit from only one distillery were used they would market it as a single malt. There are only two operating distilleries in Campbeltown. Ergo, we have a vatting of Springbank and Glen Scotia.
Nose shows pronounced, undeniable sauerkraut, so much so that it is somewhat difficult to get past this. Nose is also slightly fatty. In the palate both Springbank and Glen Scotia are discernible. Some peat, some coconut. Tasty, oily. An odd vatting. The finish is mellow and slightly warming. While odd, this malt is quite nice.
